1 in 4 people worldwide die from conditions caused by thrombosis.

Venous thromboembolism or VTE, is a condition in which blood clots form.

Most commonly, blood clots form in the deep veins of the leg, these are known as deep vein thrombosis or DVT.

Small parts of a blood clot can break off and travel in the blood stream to the lungs, this is known as pulmonary embolism or PE. A very serious and life threatening condition.

Anne, who started Rothar 10 years ago, has been struggling with clots in her leg since May. Luckily, it was caught on time and she has been treated wonderfully by the staff at the Mater Hospital, very close to the Phibsboro shop. Therefore, the whole weekend of the Black Friday, all proceeds coming from the brick and mortar shops as well as training and online shopping will be going to the Mater Foundation, which raises funds to deliver care to people like Anne. We will also have collection boxes in the shops to increase the amount of money we can raise. If you wish to make a direct donation to the Foundation, you can do so here

So, this Black Friday, weekend and Cyber Monday, instead of trying to sell you stuff you don't need at discounted prices we cannot afford, and if you need to use our services, your money will go directly to something meaningful.
