A little bit of help
The winter, a steep hill, too much wind etc can be daunting for using a bike. It might be time to go electric. It will make your cycle easier, and none of that will be a problem.
If you or your family are new to cycling, or you’re returning to the road for the first time after a period of recovery or want to go back to fitness, then an electric bike could be a great place to get started.
What is an e-bike?
Electric bikes are just like any other bike except they are power assisted. You still have to pedal but as the pedals are turned, the power kicks in to help you. A torque sensor is built into the drivetrain which detects how much force you’re putting through the pedals, and the motor then distributes the power assistance accordingly.
Electric bikes are not just a great way to get around town, they are packed with other benefits you can enjoy every day too…
Don't they look ugly and distinctively err.. electric?
Well, manufacturers have worked hard on this, as studies show that a lot of people hesitate riding an e-bike because of the stigma. The Orbea Optima or the Orbea Vibe for example look like regular bikes, so you can enjoy the electric assistance and still be on a stylish machine.
